ChoseMyYoga is an AI-powered yoga trainer that uses your device's webcam to analyse your yoga poses in real-time. You don't need a trainer, a gym, or any equipment — just your browser and a bit of space.
The app compares your body position to a reference pose and gives you instant feedback on what to fix, along with a live accuracy score, so you can improve your alignment on your own.
Chrome or Edge recommended. Safari works on macOS/iOS.
Built-in laptop camera or an external USB webcam both work fine.
Stand 1–2 metres from your camera so your full body is visible.
Face a light source (window or lamp) so the camera can see you clearly.
Go to chosemyyoga.com in your browser. You will land on the home page.
Click "Your Pose Analyzer" in the top navigation menu. A dropdown will appear with all available poses. Click any pose to open it.
If you want to follow along with a video guide first, click "Video Analyzer" instead — currently available for Tree Pose.
Your browser will ask for permission to use your camera. Click Allow. Without this, the app cannot analyse your pose.
A reference image of the correct pose is shown on screen. Take a moment to study the alignment — foot placement, arm position, spine angle — before you try it yourself.
After 5 seconds, a "Start Validation" button appears at the bottom of the screen. Click it when you are ready to be analysed.
Once validation starts, the screen switches to show your webcam feed as the main view, with the reference pose in a small panel in the corner.
A live score at the top of the screen shows how closely your pose matches the reference.
Red dots appear on joints that are out of position, helping you see exactly what to fix.
Orange dashed lines connect joints to show the direction of correction needed.
The app speaks the most important correction aloud so you can focus on your body, not the screen.
Double-click anywhere on either panel to swap them — make the reference pose large and your webcam small, or the other way around. This is useful when you want to compare your form more closely to the reference.
Every pose has a detailed information panel. To open it, click the purple pose name badge in the top-left corner of the screen.

ChoseMyYoga currently includes 6 poses in its MVP (Minimum Viable Product). More poses will be added in future updates.

ChoseMyYoga is available in multiple languages so you can practise yoga in the language you're most comfortable with.
Use the language selector in the top-right corner of the home page to switch languages. Your selection is remembered for future visits.
The pose trainer page uses the Google Translate widget (🌐 button, top-right) to translate all pose content, feedback messages, and instructions into 10 languages including Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese.
Stand 1–2 metres from your camera. Make sure your head, feet, and arms are all visible.
Practise facing a window or with a lamp in front of you. Avoid backlighting.
Tight-fitting clothes help the AI detect your joint positions more accurately.
A plain wall or uncluttered background reduces false detections.
Open the pose info panel and review the step images before starting validation.
Turn on your device volume to hear the voice guidance — it's easier than reading the screen.
